It's hard in the summer to find fun activities to occupy the kiddos. Activities that may last more than 20 minutes anyways......

This activity was super fun, and super easy. I do suggest you enjoy the bubbly fun outside. This wasn't a messy activity, but the kiddos really enjoyed the bubbles and were really sudsy after. I think next time I would recommend that they wear their bathing suits, so they can play in the hose or sprinkler to rinse off after playing. Big thank you to my sister in law who led this adventure!

For supplies you will need:

-scissors

-empty water bottle

-rubber bands (I used hair ties)

-kids sock

-bubbles

-a plate/bowl to fill with bubbles

-food coloring (optional)

-your imagination!!!

First, you will need to cut off the bottom of the empty water bottle. You will pull the child sock over the bottom of the bottle, and secure it with rubber bands (I used hair ties). You will pour some bubbles in your plate/bowl, and then the magic begins!!! Dipping the sock into the bubbles, you blow through the top of the water bottle. If you wanted colored bubbles, you could add drops of food coloring to the sock. You could use your imagination for endless possibilities. It could be a car wash or toy wash. It could be a construction site and you could incorporate diggers/dump trucks to move the bubbles. These two were happy with just the bubbles.

This was so much fun! We will definitely be doing this again. For more crafting inspiration, follow me on: Pinterest, Etsy, and Facebook. If you needed more of a visual of putting together the water bottle, I will be posting a video soon to my Facebook page. Happy crafting!!!
